We began collecting Wedgwood in 1979. During a visit to the Apothocary Museum shop in Old Town Alexandria we discovered a beautiful Queensware serving bowl. The blue acanthus leaf detailing was crisp and sharp and looked so elegant against the creamy white china. The bowl was proudly displayed on our dining room table for years as we slowly grew our collection.  We met Muriel and Victor Polikoff during our visits to DC Armory Antique shows. They mentored us and guided our collection and encouraged us to visit the Buten Museum of Wedgwood in Merion, PA. We were so fortunate to be able to visit several times and we enjoyed a personal tour by Nettie Buten and a master class given by David Buten.  During one of our Pennsylvania trips we stopped in to purchase Wedgwood from Seal Simon, a noted dealer.
